I FOUND MY OTHER EARRING YAAAAAAAAY (and i'm wearing it today yay again).
i'm at mum's place again, waiting for my little bro to get here. he's stuck in traffic as usual poor guy. i've been here a whole week and this is going to be my first time seeing him! but he is a busy little fella. and a social butterfly :)
i'm reading a book called Self Made Man by Norah something. she dresses as a man and goes out into the world to see how she is treated differently. i'm gonna be starting the chapter where she goes to the strip club with the guys. should be interesting...
man so the other night, cesar and his mum and i were sitting at the dinner table, snacking and having some good conversation. not sure how the topic came up, but his mother told her story about crossing the border into america when cesar was just two years old, running across shielding him in her arms from the immigration officers with her daughters behind her. i can't get the image out of my head of the time that they were in the truck and the helicopters were overhead. they had to lay face down in the truck while the mothers held their childrens' heads down because nobody could look up or the copters would be able to see the whites of their eyes. amazing story. cesar had never even heard it. i'll have to tell you guys all about it when i see you next.

i'm in californiaaaa! he was quite surprised :)

i'm chilling with my mum today and we just got massages. yeaaaaaaaaah! the guy massaging me told me that i was the wisest 22 year old he ever met. funny funny! i guess he said it because we were talking about heroes, and i said that one's hero should be his/her own highest potential, but it is nice to have others to point us in a progressive direction. he kept bringing that up and saying i can't believe you're 22! but i definitely know a lot wiser 22 year olds than myself! it was a nice compliment though. aaaaand the woman at the nike store today told me that i had gorgeous hair and that a lot of people spend a lot of money to have hair like mine! man! so many compliments today! (even though she was trying to sell me something hee hee...)

anna i have a confession. one of my earrings (the one with the little lotus blossoms in them) fell out either on the plane or at the airport. i was looking all over cesar's place, but it was nowhere to be found. i was soooooo sad, because those were like our friendship bracelet sort of, since we both had some like that. :( bummer! i'm so sorry! but i've been wearing the right turn signal ones ever since then, and i love those just as much!

i'm trying to brush the dust off my spanish skills a little bit. last night i was at a family function of cesar's and there were some people who didn't speak english, but i got extremely shy and closed up. every now and then i'd say a little something in spanish and they would be like ooooh! one point for the visiting team! and they kept racking up points that way. hahaha... jokesters! i'm building my tolerance for spicy food, too, and i did pretty well last night. soon i will be an honorary mexican! :)

hot damn, long distance relationships are haaaaaard. but i don't have to tell you guys that.

it's kind of a cool challenge to go through together, because you discover new creative ways to express your feelings for a person over a distance. but once it's been long enough and you reach that threshold, well, hot damn.

i get to go to CA on tuesdaaaaaay!!! he doesn't know that i'm coming that day (he thinks i'm not coming until friday) so i'm just gonna show up and he's going to be so surprised! mwahahaha...

my sleep patterns have been so weird the last couple of days. i lay down and my mind just races and i can't get to sleep. last night my parents had some people over for drinking and stand up comedy dvds. afterwards, melissa was supposed to go downtown with me but she got tired, so i was calling a bunch of people but nobody is in town so i ended up not going. this guy reggie stayed over and slept in my parents' basement and he and i had a pretty good conversation. it was nice because a lot of the guys in that group of people (my cousin's boyfriend's friends) are such disrespectful jackasses, and i usually close up around them and go into introvert mode. so my conversation with reggie helped me realize that they are only jackasses to impress each other, and on an individual basis they aren't so bad. i mean, i know that about people already, but it was a good reminder. i generally really like most people on an individual basis. but peer pressure can do ugly things to people. so i was up late talking to him and then i still had energy so i went into the unfinished part of the basement and painted for a bit, just playing with textures. it was fun, but holy crap i'm bad at painting. drawing comes so much easier to me, not that i'm awesome at that either, but better than painting! then i got back here and did some reading and passed out around 5am.

in other news, yesterday i got to see my sammy (the dog i took care of for a semester while my friend was in portland) and it was sooo awesome to see him!!! he adores me :) he is pictured above, because i can't seem to figure out how to move pictures to make them halfway through the post. hmmm. i am technologically awesome!

in other other news, my period nearly killed me today. i would like to thank my heating pad and nutella for getting me through that, since i kept puking up pain pills. damn gag reflex. i will leave you with that little bit of over-sharing...

i have a sneaking suspicion that i made a gargantuan drunken ass out of myself last night.
but you know? i don't get out very often, so it's good when i do. reminds me i'm not an old lady :)

i am now the proud owner of the coolest prettiest earrings in the whole world!!!!!!!
when i get back from CA i'm gonna get my cartiledge in my other ear re-pierced so i can wear them with my hoops!!! i have one in now (now anyone who has come to my ear knows to make a right turn) :)

if you guys have kids, they are going to be the most shining awesome people ever. you have an incredible glow when you are together.

that is the blog i made for my doggum, isn't he crazy looking? it's madness so many people have blogs for their pets! there was a cat on there named besos and it made me think of aaaannnaaa!

counting down to when i get to see cesar. the 23rd, a week from ole's lecture! he doesn't know which day i'm coming, he just knows the ballpark week. so i'm gonna call a couple of his friends and have them have some sort of little party and then one of them is gonna come get me from the airport and i'll walk into the party and he's gonna be like HOLY CRAP it's you!!! i hope it works. i really need to call them, like tomorrow. he works out with his trainer (hahaha california men) on tuesdays and thursdays, so hopefully he wont be like "i'm too tired from working out to come to your party wah wah wah..." whatever i know the garage code to his house, so i'll just sneak in and surprise him in the shower!!! ;) yeah i don't think that will fly with his mom there...

my hair is really big and curly because of the rainy weather, another reason why i love rainy weather! i heart 80's hair! my hair has been shinier lately too. i think it's happy that school is almost over.

maybe i could come early to meditation either sunday or monday and we could all hang out and bake something for lama ole? we can make some sort of pastry that involves berries, since it's getting closer to june and berries are starting to be much better around here...

fresh mozzerella is the best! i got some of those fresh little balls of it that come in the tub of liquid, and i just made the greatest sammich that ever was. sprouted wheat farmer's market bread (no sugar! sweetened with organic molasses! yum yum!), herbed organic turkey from whole foods (i could taste the rosemary in there), sexy fresh mozz, farmer's market tomato sliced, mustard (not the brown kind, the yellow little kid mustard). stick it in the broiler for a bit and dayaaaaam! that's a sammich you don't take home to muthaaa...

done with actual classes. now i just have to take my tolstoy exam tuesday and turn in my big ass psych project thursday. and then FIN! (for a month anyway)

went to club 5 last night and shook my thang with ashley, my usual dance partner for our LGBT excursions. i always feel kinda bad because she wants to mack on chicks and they keep their distance because they think she's with me! for some reason, the "gay" men always hit on me more than the lesbians. wtf? it was a lot of fun, though. i got drunk off southern comfort and 7up and almost got to watch a fight in the parking lot afterwards. somebody called somebody the n-word...

i don't know if you guys remember melissa, but she works at this used cd store, and one of her coworkers is named Buddha. he is a large man with a lot of tatoos and piercings, and was in a band. he's in his thirties and collects hot wheels, and gives the greatest hugs ever (besides anna of course). i got him a hot wheels toothbrush and now he has a crush on me. yes, a man named Buddha wants to hit this. i wonder if this could be good for my karma...

i got to watch red-winged blackbirds tonight at the marsh for my zoo class. the males crouch and puff up their feathers and look really cool when they get pissed. i saw one of them go nuts and chase some other males out of his territory. it was awesome.
